On August 25, the 5th edition of the Grande Randonnée Kiwanis took place for the benefit of Clinique 180 in Saguenay. For a 4th consecutive year, the Cardiovascular Health Action Network received a significant donation which will be used to provide services to young people in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region who suffer from obesity.
This year, $18,000 was given directly to the president of the organization, Dr. Julie St-Pierre.
Every year for the past 5 years, the 6 Kiwanis clubs of division 17, the Baie club, Chicoutimi, Jonquière, Alma, Roberval and Chibougamau, have come together to create this activity and thus help the children of the region. The Great Kiwanis Ride is a cycling tour around Lac St-Jean in one day, nearly 210 kilometers to be covered by dozens of cycling teams.
Thanks to the organizers and participants!
